Título: | Simulating the evolution of a grammar for case |
Autor: | Steels, Luc CSIC ORCID | Palabras clave: | Case grammar Evolutionary linguistics Multi-agent simulations |
Fecha de publicación: | 2002 | Citación: | 4th International Conference on the Evolution of Language (2002) | Resumen: | The paper presents a multi-agent model in which steps towards the evolution of a grammar for case are simulated. The agents have the capability to visually perceive dynamic scenes and analyse them into event structures. They then play a language game in which one agent describes to another one a recently seen event. Agents invent and learn grammar as part of the game. Grammar is seen as an evolving adaptive system that is shaped and negotiated by the agents as they optimise communication. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/128154 |
