Abstract: The compound [Cu2(μ-pzdc)(phen)4](NO3)2·10H2O (1; pzdc = pyrazine-2,5-dicarboxylato; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) has been structurally and magnetically characterised. Theoretical calculations have allowed us to establish a plausible magneto-structural correlation for pyrazine-bridged complexes.
