This type of waves is generally due to variations of density on time scales of a few hours; they induce oscillations on the sound speed profile. We will discuss the effects of internal waves on acoustic propagation. We will use a one way-coupled mode approach to model our problem and present the results for two cases. In the first one, we will study the effects of the internal waves in a deep water problem.
