ResumenThe main aim of the present work is to study the properties of the Majorana states in the context of condensed matter, and more specifically the optical properties of hybrid semi-super- conductor nanowires. First we explain the most important concepts referent to the Majorana states. We address the importance for particle physics, for quantum computation and stress the results with more impact in the field. In second place, we introduce the necessary methods to describe Majorana states in two-dimensional systems. We introduce the Bogoliubov-deGennes hamiltonian, we study its properties and the most important results necessary to compute the optical properties. The third and final chapter is the novel contribution of this work. We present first the used theoretical formalism, after that we study the results of the optical spectrum changing dfferent parameters, the dependence on magnetic field, the light polarization effects and the in uence of temperature. This work gives guides for the experimental detection of Majorana states in semiconductor nanowires with optical spectroscopy.
