AbstractThe use of activated carbons (ACs) for environmental applications is widening as new challenges emerge. In recent years, for example, particular attention has been focused on ammonia abatement at room temperature. This particular interest is closely related to odour control issues. NH3 is frequently present in odorous emissions from a variety of industries, such as wastewater treatment plants.
