Título: | Raman studies of free jet expansion (Diagnostics and mapping) |
Autor: | Montero, Salvador CSIC ORCID; Maté, Belén CSIC ORCID; Tejeda, Guzmán CSIC ORCID; Fernández Sánchez, José María CSIC ORCID ; Ramos, Ángel CSIC | Fecha de publicación: | 2001 | Editor: | Springer Nature | Citación: | Atomic and Molecular Beams. The state of the Art 2000, 295-306 (2001) | Resumen: | Raman and Rayleigh diagnostics of free jets have been proposed long ago, but practical applications have been scarce so far [1-5]. The low density of free jets and the intrinsic small cross section of the Raman process contribute multiplicatively, yielding a very weak Raman intensity which is not sufficient for routine work with conventional photomultiplier tubes (PMT’s). This severe limitation was overcome in part by means of sophisticated intracavity setups. | Descripción: | Contents: 1 Introduction. 2 Instrumentation. 3 Quantitative Measurements: Molecular densities, Rotational temperatures, Vibrational temperatures, Condensation. 4 Raman Mapping. 5 Shock Waves. 6 Nonisentropic Flow in Molecular Jets. 7 Conclusion. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/108499 | ISBN: | 3-540-67378-4 |
