La conservación y restauración de edificios en España a través de las publicaciones del IETcc

Abstract

Una de las consecuencias del progreso económico y social europeo iniciado a finales de los años setenta y principios de los ochenta, fue el impulso a la recuperación de las ciudades y la rehabilitación de los edificios históricos. Esta tendencia tuvo su eco en España, donde nace un creciente interés social por conservar y restaurar su patrimonio histórico y cultural más cercano. Esta preocupación por el mantenimiento del patrimonio histórico-cultural es fomentada, en buena parte, por las transferencias que hace el Estado español a las Comunidades Autónomas que en adelante serán las responsables de la gestión del patrimonio artístico y cultural de su ámbito territorial. Influye también en la restauración del patrimonio artístico la política de revitalización de los cascos históricos de las viejas ciudades con objeto de atraer el turismo cultural y la dinamización las urbes. Para ello se articulan equipos profesionales con capacidad para llevar a cabo estas tareas con seriedad y rigor técnico. Las publicaciones del IETcc recogen esta inquietud y comienza a publicar intervenciones singulares. La temática de los trabajos, son variadas, desde los casos particulares de actuaciones en edificios concretos, hasta la recuperación de conjuntos urbanos o materiales idóneos para abordar la singularidad de la intervención. En este trabajo se da a conocer la labor divulgativa del Instituto en esta materia.

One of the consequences of the European economic and social progress, started in the late 1970s and early 1980s, was the impulse to the recovery of the cities and the rehabilitation of historic buildings. This trend was echoed in Spain, where it was born a growing social interest to conserve and restore their local historical and cultural heritage. This concern for the maintenance of the cultural and historical heritage is encouraged in large part, by transfers making the Spanish State to the autonomous communities which herein after will be responsible for the management of the cultural and artistic heritage of its territorial scope. It also influences in the restoration of the artistic heritage policy of revitalization of the historical centers of the old cities in order to attract cultural tourism and the revitalization of cities. This articulated professional teams with capacity to carry out these tasks with seriousness and technical rigor. The IETcc publications reflected this concern and it begins to publish both buildings unique interventions. The theme of the works, are varied, from the particular cases of actions in concrete buildings, until the recovery of urban ensembles or materials suitable to address the uniqueness of the intervention. In this work is unveiled the dissemination work of the Institute in this regard.
