La igualdad intelectual como principio de lo múltiple en el pensamiento del Cusano

Abstract

[ES] En el enfoque filosófico de Nicolás de Cusa tiene que haber un plano de identidad inferior al que corresponde a Dios en sí pero superior a los de las criaturas corrientes. Ese plano intermedio, correspondiente al Intelecto, viene caracterizado por una coincidencia afirmativa de los opuestos que se configura en torno a la igualdad universal. Esa igualdad intelectual entre todas las cosas, según están en el Intelecto, constituye la raíz del número y de lo múltiple.

[EN] Within Nicholas de Cusa's philosophical approach, there is bound to be a level of unity lower than the one pertaining to God as such but higher than those of common creatures. That intermediate level belongs to the Intellect and is characterized by an affirmative coincidence of opposites hinging around universal equality. Such intellectual equality among all things, as they are in the Intellect, constitutes the root of number and multiplicity.
