A shape forming process for the continuous manufacture of ceramic and/or metal parts by a colloidal route was described. The method made use of an aqueous suspension and the interparticle potentials was manipulated in order to provide the desired stability and to avoid agglomerates. The versatility of the process for a variety of materials, including traditional and advanced ceramics, and powder metallurgy was also elaborated.
