TiO2-supported Cu5 clusters, a new visible-light photo-active material, might allow for CO2 removal from the atmosphere when exposed to sunlight. When the Cu5 cluster is supported on TiO2, a spontaneous decomposition of the molecule is predicted. This work was developed within the framwork of a collaboration between the AbinitSim Unit (abinitsim.iff.csic.es; IFF-CSIC) and the Institute of Experimental Physics cfrom the Graz University of technology.
