Development of new tools for early diagnosis of resistance to chemotherapeutic .Ref. RTA2013-00064-C02-02. I.P.: Camino González Lanza. Gastrointestinal nematode (GIN) infections are a constraint for the productivity and profitability of sheep grazing production. The inappropriate and over-use of anthelmintic drugs has led to the development of anthelmintic resistance. As part of a broader study of GIN resistance we are studying the relationships between anthelmintic resistance and the singles nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the beta-tubulin gen as well as other family genes, MRPs, belonging to the superfamily of ABC transporters.
