Especialización
Doctora en Biología por la Universitat de Barcelona en 1998. Formo parte del Departamento de Ecología Marina donde he participado en diversos proyectos enfocados al estudio de los ecosistemas marinos de sustrato rocoso y sedimentario. He estudiado su dinámica y estructura así como la caracterización de hábitats. Me he especializado en la biología, ecología y taxonomía de algunos grupos de macroinvertebrados bentónicos (poliquetos y bivalvos) y de las macroalgas marinas. También he estudiado la respuesta de estos organismos a los cambios ambientales (cambios antropogénicos principalmente) y su uso como herramienta para evaluar el estado ecológico de las aguas marinas y de transición, hecho que he venido realizando durante los últimos años. Asimismo formo parte del grupo del CEAB que se dedica a la implementación de la Directivas Marco del Agua y Hábitat. Actualmente soy la Responsable Científica del Laboratorio de Separación e Identificación de muestras.
