[EN] The main aim of this project is the application of the theoretical postulates of methodological posthumanism to empirical realities related to the body and gender, which are inseparably and intimately linked in the research context of anthropology. The results of this exercise will permit us to expand our knowledge about and refine anthropological theory on the relation between body and gender. Based on the results of the theoretical work that we will carry out in the project, our research will also serve to gauge the possibilities offered by the new epistemological framework of posthumanism in order to rethink anthropological research practice and the humanities in general. In this project we assume that the present (and future) implications of the emerging posthuman condition, especially in reference to the body, constitute not only an intellectual challenge for the social sciences but a moral and ethical duty.
