New training materials to elaborate data management plans [19/04/2024]
DIGITAL.CSIC Technical Office delivered the training workshop "Elaboration of data management plans: from theory to practice" last April 10-12. The first part focused on explaining the requirements and templates of various funding agencies, as well as recommendations to address each of the sections of the plans and practices with various tools. The second part addressed the DIGITAL.CSIC policy and services for the deposit, management and publication of the resulting data.

Nearly 100 researcher profiles at award-winning CSIC Pioneers Portal [11/03/2024]
We join in the celebration of International Women's Day with new profiles of women researchers in the area of Chemical Science and Technology at the CSIC Pioneers Portal. Previously, on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we published a collection of profiles of women researchers in Food Science and Agricultural Sciences. All of them link to their respective researcher profiles and scientific production in DIGITAL.CSIC. As always, we are grateful for the invaluable collaboration of the Women and Science Commission of the CSIC (CMyC) in the writing of the profiles. In 2023 the Portal Pioneras CSIC received a distinction from the Ministry of Culture.  

In defence of open access repositories [11/03/2024]
The Repositories Working Group of the Spanish Network of University and Scientific Libraries (REBIUN), of which CSIC is a member, issued a manifesto in February 2024 recalling the mission and services of repositories for the construction of the open science system and compliance with the new framework for scientific evaluation and warning of new publisher tactics that seek the commercial exploitation of the so-called green path of open access.
